Interior.jpg

When customers pick up their shiny new cars, they want them to be clean (outside and inside). A clean vehicle demonstrates to the customer that Nissan/Infiniti cares about the customer’s satisfaction with the Nissan/Infiniti experience. While a vehicle is in inventory at the dealer, it may get minor interior scuffs, marks and other dirt spots due to dealer personnel getting in and out of the vehicle. It would be good if the vehicle was untouched before delivery, but that is impossible.

EXAMPLES OF SCUFFS, MARKS AND OTHER DIRT SPOTS ARE:

• Dirt on the carpet

• Spot on a seat

• Prints on the steering wheel

• Scuffs on a door panel

• Marks on the headliner

• Scuffs on the kick plates

• Prints on a seat belt

Before delivering the vehicle to the customer, the interior should be thoroughly inspected for any spots or smudges and cleaned if necessary.

Sometimes in our enthusiasm for thorough cleaning, there is a tendency to use products that may be too harsh for interior surfaces. Harsh chemicals can damage or deteriorate fabrics and other interior surfaces. The best way to make sure that the correct product and procedure are used is to refer to the Appearance and Care section of the appropriate Owner’s Manual. In most cases, mild soap and water is the recommended cleaning solution.

Do not use water or acidic cleaners (hot steam cleaners) on the seat. This can damage the seat or Occupant Classification Sensor. This can also affect the operation of the air bag system and result in serious personal injury.

SEAT BELTS

• Seat belts can be cleaned with a clean sponge dampened with mild soap and water. Wipe the seat belt to clean it and then allow it to completely dry in the shade before using it. Do not allow the seat belts to retract until they are completely dry.
