The 2013 Infiniti QX

The QX is equipped with a VK56VD 5.6-liter 32-valve, DOHC aluminumalloy V8 engine that combines the responsive acceleration of Infiniti's VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) technology with the efficiency of Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG™). Capable of producing 400 horsepower and 413 lbs-ft of torque, the V8 is tied to a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) , and Downshift Rev Match that's standard on all models. The 2013 QX is offered in two fully equipped models: 2WD, or Infiniti's All-Mode 4WD® with Auto setting that automatically selects between 2WD and 4WD.

The QX has independent double-wishbone front and rear suspension with a Dual Flow Path® twin tube shock absorbers, stabilizer bars and automatic rear self-leveling system (air). They're also available with Hydraulic Body Motion Control system.

For 2013, the QX comes standard with Around View® Monitor with front and rear sonar system that has been enhanced with the addition of the advanced Moving Object Detection (MOD). The Around View® Monitor utilizes four small super-wide-angle cameras mounted on the front, side and rear of the QX. The system uses advanced image processing to combine the images from the four cameras to provide a unique "birds eye view" of the vehicle's surroundings. The new MOD function system detects moving objects within the surrounding view of the vehicle from above (when the vehicle is in park). When starting off or backing up, it detects moving objects, such as another vehicle, crossing within the front or rear views.
