If you are performing a procedure on an applicable Rogue (T32), Sentra (B17) or Versa Note (E12) model that requires removing either the RF or LF pillar finisher, please note that the tether clip is available and can be replaced as a single unit part.
Now it is not necessary to replace the front pillar finisher if all you need is the tether clip (Part Number 769883DN0A) when reinstalling the front pillar finisher.
1. Remove the front pillar portion of the front door welt.
2. Release the front pillar finisher pawls using a suitable tool and pull the front pillar finisher downward as shown to release the front pillar finisher clip (bottom).
3. Cut and discard the front pillar finisher tether clip.
4. Remove the remaining piece of the tether clip using a suitable tool and remove the front pillar finisher.
DO NOT reuse the tether clip. Replace with new part after removal.
Installation Notes:
- When installing a tether clip to the front pillar finisher, be sure to install it by aligning it with the cutout, then press in.
- Before installing the front pillar finisher, make sure to secure the tether clip to the front pillar finisher by inserting the clip end and rotating it 90 degrees in either direction.
- Visually check the metal clip and pawls for deformation and damage during front pillar finisher installation. Replace the finisher with a new one if necessary.
- When installing the front pillar finisher, always ensure that the metal clip, tether and pawls are securely placed into the body panel holes.
