ON THE COVER

The all-new Q50 sports sedan replaces the G37 compact sedan. The Q50 is a dramatic complete redesign, including new styling and technology, and in addition it has a hybrid version. You’ll note right away its exterior design is radically different, mimicking the larger M37 sedan. The b-pillar has been pushed slightly forward to allow for easier entry into the back. Its exterior design creates a coefficient of drag that is a remarkably low 0.26. The Q50 has the G sedan’s standard 328-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6, mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission that’s available in rear- or allwheel drive. The new hybrid powertrain uses a 3.5-liter HEV V-6. The Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid® System with Intelligent Dual Clutch Control produces 354 hp combining the power of a gasoline engine and an electric motor.

The new Q50’s optional Infiniti Direct Adaptive SteeringTM which is a by-wire steering system provides advanced control of the Q50’s tire angle and steering inputs.

Infiniti InTouch™ controls the heater and air conditioner, audio, RearView/AroundView® Monitor, navigation system (if so equipped), InTouch Apps, and Bluetooth® Hands-free phone. Vehicle settings relating to audio, navigation, in-vehicle temperature, driving comfort, driving mode and engine performance can all be adjusted for individual preference.

The Q50 offers a host of active-safety features designed to help prevent collisions. They include forward emergency braking with predictive forward collision warning, blind spot warning, backup collision intervention, lane departure prevention and Active Lane Control.
