ON THE COVER

After the successful launch of the full-size Nissan NV Cargo Van, Nissan Commercial Vehicles is now taking on the people-hauling segment with the 2012 Nissan NV Passenger Van. It features the same durable HD fully boxed frame construction as the cargo model, but with an interior that has been reconfigured to hold four rows of seating with 12-passenger capacity. The seating system provides flexibility with as many as 324 different rear seating possibilities, along with standard head restraints and integrated seat belts for all rear seating positions. The NV3500 Passenger van also provides exclusive standard side curtain air bag coverage for all four rows of passengers.

Power for the 2012 Passenger Van can come with one of two available power trains: A 4.0-liter DOHC V6 engine that makes 261 hp and 281 lb.-ft. of torque or a 5.6-liter DOHC V8 capable of 317 hp and 385 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines include Continuous Valve Timing Control (C-VTC) to improve efficiency. Both engines are mated exclusively to a heavy-duty, five-speed automatic transmission and only send power to the NV's rear wheels.

There's plenty of interior storage, a 28-gallon fuel tank, heavy-duty anti-lock disc brakes and a wealth of available equipment. Available options include Remote Keyless Entry, Bluetooth™ Wireless Communication, a touch screen navigation system with a five-inch screen, integrated rear view camera, and rear and front sonar.
