ON THE COVER

About the 2012 Infiniti FX

The 2012 Infiniti FX is poised to continue as one of the most aggressive, and expressive combinations of sport utility, luxury, and performance vehicles on the streets today. Its exterior has been refreshed with a new front-end and new wheels.

The 2012 Infiniti FX crossover is available with a choice of a 390-horsepower 5.0-liter 32-valve DOHC V8 engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift), or with a 265-horsepower 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC V6 engine. Both engines are paired with a standard 7-speed automatic transmission, which features Adaptive Shift Control (ASC). The Infiniti FX50 is also available with solid magnesium paddle shifters to shift gears manually in conjunction with its 7-speed automatic gearbox.

The 2012 Infiniti FX offers Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (which is standard on FX50), and comes with an independent double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension and large 4-wheel disc brakes. It is also available with Continuous Damping Control (CDC®), Rear Active Steer, and Intelligent Brake Assist.

Inside, the Infiniti FX interior provides an inviting environment, highlighted by a driver-oriented cockpit with intuitive controls and new instrument gauges. It’s available with sport seating, advanced audio, and navigation system. It is chock full of technology – ranging from a Bose® 11-speaker Premium Audio system, Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed Range), Around View® Monitor, and an Infiniti Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition.

The Infiniti FX again offers an array of available advanced technology systems, including Distance Control Assist (DCA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD).
